Born in Delmenhorst in 1964, passed his Abitur (A-levels) in 1983, diploma in mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig in 1992, gave lectures between 1992 - 1993, in 1993 freelance machine designer, 1993 -1995 designer and developer with Thyssen-Hünnebeck, private passion for product design evolved in 1990 - numerous designs and prototypes of furniture and lights, worked for Dinnebier-Licht in Wuppertal and Licht im Raum, Düsseldorf, from 1996 -1999, designed and developed various special lights and serial products, e.g. lights system OCULAR together with Jürgen Weller, started his own business developing and producing lights and furniture in 2000, his first product is the lights system TUBUS, which is assembled by regional firms, "Unternehmen Licht" became the sole distribution partner for his lights, introduced TUBUS at the International Furniture Fair in Milan in April 2000, began supplying to specialist stores in November 2000, his products are available in 60 stores throughout Germany, up to now, he delivered ca. 600 units of TUBUS
